The government of the Russian Federation declared January 27 the Day of Military Glory of Russia. On this day in 1944, the blockade of the city of Leningrad was lifted. The «Young Guard of United Russia» of the Chechen Republic organized a commemorative concert on the Day of lifting the blockade.
In connection with this event, «Young Guard» together with the MOPD «AKHMAT» branch and the trade union office of the philological department of ChSU im. AA Kadyrov, for the patriotic upbringing of youth, organized the patriotic event «We will not forget those days.»
Among the guests were vice-rector for youth social policy Gataev Ayub, head of the department of education and social work Akhtakhanov Aslambek, honorary chairman of the Union of Journalists of the Chechen Republic, member of the Union of Writers of Russia Yusupov Ruslan.
In honor of the holiday, students prepared poems and songs. Particularly noteworthy is the spectacle «Pain of the People» performed by students of the Faculty of Philology.
«These kinds of events are very important for all of us, they help to nurture and maintain the spirit of patriotism in our youth,» said Minat Adayeva, an activist of the regional branch of the Moscow Hermitage and the initiator of the event.
