Musa Gaitiev, a graduate of the Sheikh Zayed Chafiz School, won the competition held in the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan.
The religious competition coincided with the 1100th anniversary of the official adoption of Islam by the Bulgarian Volga. Over 50 hafis from regions of Russia and OIC countries took part in the competition. The event was organized by the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Youth Forum of Islamic Cooperation, the Academy of Youth Diplomacy, Tatarstan Republican Public Fund «Selet» with the support of the Muslim Spiritual Administration of the Republic of Tatarstan.
On behalf of the chief’s adviser, the event was attended by the mufti of the Chechen Republic, Salah-Khadji Mezhiyev, Mufti of the Chechen Republic for International Relations, chairman of the Holy Quran Committee Akhmed Rasuev, the press service of the regional muftiate reported.
