Despite the cold weather and the «torn» weekend resorts «Arkhyz», «Elbrus», «Veduchi», in the first ten days of May, over 28 thousand guests visited. This is basically the same as the longer weekend of 2021.

Most tourists visited the «Elbrus» center in Kabardino-Balkaria — over 20,000 visitors. This is slightly less than last year’s record, but almost twice as much as the resort received during the May holiday before the pandemic. On Elbrus, the ski season continues, the weather allows skiing and snowboarding all summer days, but it hid the Caucasus Range from guests, so many people put the lift on the cable cars.
Arkhyz in Karachay-Cherkessia was chosen by nearly 7,500 guests for the May holidays. In spring and summer, the most popular among patients are mountain hiking, jeeping, cable car rides, horse trails and eco-routes. It is convenient to rest in the resort with the whole family: there are clubs for children, camps, studios. Many guests also combine active recreation with overall health improvement: they undergo medical treatments, breathe phytoncides, and go to the mountains. Arkhyz has also become a good place to wait out the acute allergy period as most spring allergens don’t grow here.
The year-round resort of Veduchi in the Chechen Republic continues to enjoy popularity as a weekend trip, suitable for families, with a chairlift, barbecue houses, a year-round ski and snowboard track, and a year-round tube slide. Many people combine a holiday in a resort with a trip to other attractions in the region.
