Western companies returning to the market in the Russian Federation should first apologize to Russian consumers for their departure, the Ministry of Industry and Trade must establish an algorithm for their return, said Sultan Khamzayev, deputy of the State Duma.
On Tuesday, Zara’s website announced that stores in Russia will be open from April 30. Then the RIA Novosti hotline reported that the information on the site appeared as a result of a technical failure.
«Silently, it won’t work! I think their return should start with an apology from the Russian consumer, his customers. Earning money at any cost is a bad manner in the West, ”the politician emphasized. According to the MP, Western companies, after their «political manifesto» ended with a «reputational and economic blow to themselves», «quietly» return to the Russian Federation and «open their stores with caution».
Among such companies, the politician mentioned the clothing brand Zara, the IKEA furniture store chain and the OBI DIY chain, Toyota and Lexus showrooms. A request will be sent to the Ministry of Industry and Trade with a proposal to create an algorithm for the return of companies to the Russian Federation, which provides for an «apology» to Russian buyers.
«On my own behalf, I will propose to the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation to establish an algorithm for the return of Western companies, which should be accompanied by the moral side of the matter,» concluded RIA Novosti. .
