04/26/2022. The solemn meeting coinciding with the Chechen Language Day was held at the Palace of the Festivities of Daguna Omajewa.
The event was attended by deputies of the parliament of the Chechen Republic, members of the government, heads of municipalities and representatives of the creative intelligentsia.
The Speaker of the Parliament of the Chechen Republic, Magomed Daudov, read out the congratulatory speech of the region’s president Ramzan Kadyrov on the Day of the Chechen Language.
“The mother tongue is a major component of our nation’s statehood. Therefore, the first president of the Chechen Republic, Hero of Russia, Akhmat-Khadijah Kadyrov, attached great importance to the development of the Chechen language. He knew his native language perfectly, he loved it and passed on this feeling to our whole family. In the most difficult times for the republic, Akhmat-Haji actively supported linguists, writers and everyone involved in the popularization and development of the Chechen language. At his direct request, the publishing of newspapers and magazines, books, TV programs and radio broadcasts in the mother tongue was resumed in Grozny. Today we continue the path started by Akhmat-Khadzhi, achieving further successes in the preservation and further development of the Chechen language. The Chechen language is the wealth of our nation, we must protect it, ”says the congratulations.
The Minister of Culture of the Republic Aishat Kadyrova also congratulated the guests and participants of the event. In accordance with the decree of the mayor of the region, Aishat Kadyrova awarded artists, writers and other representatives of the creative intelligentsia. Thus, the medal «For Merits to the Chechen Republic» was awarded to Bai-Ali Vakhidov. Zulikhan Bagalova received medals and housing from the Regional Public Foundation named after The hero of Russia, Akhmat-Khadzhi Kadyrov. A number of writers, poets and other figures of the culture of the republic have been awarded medals for the Badge of Labor, honorary titles and diplomas.
