March 2, 2023. Adnan Nagayev, Member of the Seimas of the Chechen Republic, took part in a solemn ceremony dedicated to the Day of the End of the Battle of Stalingrad, which is celebrated annually on February 2.
The event, which took place at the Military Commissariat of the Chechen Republic, was also attended by: Chairman of the Civic Chamber of the Chechen Republic Ismail Denilkhanov, Ombudsman of the Chechen Republic Mansur Soltaev, Chief Physician of the Republican Drug Addiction Clinic Muslim Dalsaev, Chairman of the Council of the Regional Branch of the All-Russian Social Movement to immortalize the memory of those who died in defense of the homeland of the «Russian Search Movement» in the Chechen Republic Isa Sardalov.
They drew attention to the importance of a careful approach to historical memory. They recalled that on February 2, 1943, the complete defeat of the Nazis ended with the Battle of Stalingrad — the largest land battle in the history of mankind, which lasted 200 days and nights and showed the whole world the courage and endurance of Soviet soldiers. The result of this operation dispelled the myth of the invincibility of Nazi Germany.
It should be noted that on the legendary Mamaev Kurgan there is a special monument to the Chechen soldiers of the Red Army, solemnly installed on the day of all-Russian remembrance and sorrow on June 22, 2019. Thousands of soldiers were sent from Checheno-Ingushetia and other regions of the North Caucasus to defend Stalingrad. The Chechens showed themselves in the Battle of Stalingrad from the best side. At the front, they showed wonders of true military courage and ingenuity.
Such heroes of the Soviet Union as Khanpasha Nuradilov, who, according to official figures, killed over 900 German soldiers, Mattash Mazayev, the famous Chechen and legendary tanker who fought bravely at Stalingrad, Movlid Visaitov, who is a famous horseman who fought heroically Stalingrad will forever remain in history and memory of the nation.
As part of the ceremony, departmental medals and diplomas were awarded for assistance in the development of the veterans’ movement.
