The Bank of Russia summarized the results of the educational project «Online Lessons in Financial Knowledge» for 2022. The Chechen Republic entered the top ten regions of the country in terms of viewership.
During the spring and autumn online sessions, Chechen schoolchildren, students of high schools and technical colleges watched webinars of over 117,000 people. times, which is 20% more than in 2021.
“About half of Chechen schools joined the training webinars. Undoubtedly, this is the result of well-coordinated team work of our Department’s employees with the regional Ministry of Education and Science and school principals who are actively involved in the implementation of the project. Today, elements of financial literacy are also being integrated into general school subjects. This knowledge, together with online lessons from the regulator, will help future consumers of financial services to make responsible and informed decisions,” said Isa Tamaev, head of the Bank of Russia branch in the Chechen Republic.
The spring session of classes for pupils and students has already started in the Chechen Republic. The webinars cover 23 topics of varying complexity, from security principles in cyberspace to the basics of entrepreneurship and investing. During the classes, financial market experts will tell you how to set up your own business, what you need to know about inflation, why you need insurance and what it will protect you from. Particular attention will be paid to security rules and methods of protection against abuses on the financial market.
Bank of Russia free webinars are available to any educational institution in the region that has Internet and broadcasting equipment. The full schedule and connection instructions are available on the project website. Lessons can be combined individually from home or in groups from school or university.
