The Minister of Culture of the Chechen Republic, Aishat Kadyrova, together with the Minister of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan, Irada Ayupova, took part in the opening of the exhibition of the Museum of the Chechen Republic, entitled «Art of the Chechen Republic of the 19th-21st centuries» in Kazan.
The Museum of the Chechen Republic presents exhibits from its collection for the first time to the inhabitants of Kazan and guests of the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan. The exhibition presents over one hundred works, including paintings from the second half of the 20th — early 21st centuries, objects of decorative and applied art from the 19th — 20th centuries and the present day.
Opening the exhibition, the director of the Museum of the Czech Republic, Zalina Mamaeva, said that they have very warm relations with their colleagues from Tatarstan. It is worth noting that the first traveling exhibition following the reconstruction of the Museum of the Czech Republic was held in Kazan.
In her welcoming speech, the Minister of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan noted that she and Aishat Kadyrova are similar in that each of them cares very much about cultural values. She also expressed her willingness to implement joint projects in the future.
The exhibition also presents works by Chechen artists in various styles and genres, from academic to avant-garde trends: mountain landscapes of incredible beauty, streets of Grozny and Chechen villages, genre scenes, portraits and still lifes.
Ethnographic materials tell about the cultural and everyday features of the region: ensembles of traditional male and female costumes.
Viewers watched the paintings of sixteen artists of different generations, compatriots from the Chechen Republic and authors who came to the republic for a while: Shamil Shamurzayev and Amandi Asukhanov, who stood at the beginning of the Chechen school of painting, the Russian artist Oleg Pavlovich Klyukin, the avant-garde artists Oleg Pavlovich Klyukin, avant-garde artists Zudaurinev Vakhit Akhmadov, a representative of the younger generation — Aslan Bugaev and others.
The secrets of making damask steel blades were passed down from generation to generation. The scabbards and handles were decorated with intricate floral ornaments using various jewelry techniques. The exhibition was decorated with traditional Chechen felt rugs istangi with a national ornament made in the technique of colored appliqué.
After the grand opening, Aishat Kadyrova and Irada Ayupova went to the Ushkova House, where the Minister of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan personally showed Aishat Kadyrova around the house.
