In the Chechen Republic, specialists from JSC Chechenenergo, managed by Rosseti North Caucasus, based on the results of inspection works in 2022, counted 689 acts of non-contractual and unmetered electricity consumption among commercial, legal and natural persons.
The total amount of their debt was 13.7 million rubles. 418 subscribers used the energy resource without power supply contracts, which caused damage to the industry by 8.1 million rubles. In addition, 271 facts relate to the unmetered consumption of electricity in the amount of 5.6 million rubles.
Recall that unmetered and uncontracted electricity consumption entails administrative liability. Thus, in accordance with Art. 7.19 of the Code of Administrative Offenses, unauthorized connection to electrical networks, as well as unauthorized (unmetered) use of electricity entail the imposition of an administrative fine on citizens in the amount of 10 to 15 thousand rubles, on legal entities — from 100 to 200 thousand rubles

According to the instructions of the head of the Chechen Republic, Hero of Russia Ramzan Kadyrov, the Operational Command for the Development of the Regional Energy Complex under the leadership of the State Duma deputy Adam Delimkhanov is actively working to cover up the facts of energy theft,” he says.
